Working Out For Spare Change - Welcome Wagon

I would like to first and foremost thank everyone for taking the time to come to my blog and learning what this is about.

To begin, my name is Linda, and I reside in Houston. For those who don't know, Houston is a HUGE city and only recently (think a couple months ago) has stopped being labeled as the fattest city in America. Now, on to what I hope to accomplish.

I hope to inspire others in their health and fitness goals, all over, with the thought of "working out for spare change." I don't know about you guys and gals, but I like working out, and I also like buying things. My concept, while not innovative, basically states that we should reward ourselves, financially and responsibly, for the workouts that we complete... for continued personal motivation.

Let me break that down for you. Financially and responsibly  means anything you personally can afford to budget for yourself, per workout, that you can set aside in a savings account, mason jar, wherever... I don't judge. Some people may be able to afford $5 per workout and some people may only be able to afford .50 cents per workout. That is your prerogative! The goal is to start a workout savings so that you may be able to afford new workout clothes, shoes, music, or to donate. Whatever you do with your earnings is completely up to you, and only you know what you are doing... Unless you want to share with us!

The overall goal is to keep everyone currently interested in health and fitness, or piquing their interest in health and fitness, still interested in health and fitness. I know 3 months in, 6 months in, etc... can seem easy to SOME to maintain motivation, but it is not easy for ALL to maintain motivation, and hopefully this will help you stay your path.

Again, I want to thank everyone who took the time out to read this and welcome you to "working out for spare change."

Good luck in your health and fitness goals!!!
